Florida is all about football with proven champions such as the Miami Dolphins and University of Miami Hurricanes. And Miami-Dade County has played host to some of the most important football games ever. The FedEx Orange Bowl and more Super Bowls than any other city in the United States! In fact, the National Football League, has once again proudly made Miami the home of Super Bowl XLI and Super Bowl XLIV.
This year the Miami-Dade Sports Commission will keep football fans on their feet for the entire football season and encourage each of you to follow the Road to Miami! Miami will kicking off the 2006 high school football season with the Miami Sports Kick-off Classic, give fans a chance to follow along each with week with the Game of The Week, and end the season in true championship style with the 2006 Dodge FHSAA Football Finals.
The tradition of high school football combined with the big game flair of Miami means that the stage will be set for some of the best football in the country. It starts now…get onboard…as we follow “The Road to Miami”.
