A Celebration of Sports and Culture
From the beaches of Miami to the streets of Beijing, the path to the 2008 Summer Olympics starts right here in your backyard, as many of next year’s Olympic hopefuls call Miami home. As a United States Olympic Committee Community Partner, the Miami-Dade Sports Commission and Miami-Dade County are working to support the athletes who are striving to bring home the gold.
With local fundraising events taking place and Olympian alumni speaking about sportsmanship in local schools, there are many ways for you to become involved in the Olympic movement in our community.
