Community
The Miami-Dade Sports Commission (MDSC) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), organization that serves the community by promoting amateur and youth sporting events throughout Miami-Dade County. First and foremost, the Sports Commission is an economic development organization. Through our mission, to attract, promote and retain sports event business in the county, we will foster positive economic growth through increased visitor stays.

Sports
As Florida’s 16th sports commission, representing one of the nation’s most attractive destinations, the Miami-Dade Sports Commission will be successful in attracting sporting events of all levels to the community. From Judo to Fencing, from Baseball to Soccer, the possibilities are endless. Miami is the ideal destination with suitable venues for regional competitions, national championships, and international caliber events.

Youth and Family
In general, amateur sports are very youth and family oriented by nature. Many of the events that we will host are lifetime sports, meaning that they typically cross generations of participants. For example, the Sunshine State Games, held in Miami in 2006, featured competition for athletes ranging in age from 8 to 80. It is very common to see fathers, mothers, sons and daughters all still competing in the sport of their choice. Additionally, the MDSC will be committed to youth sports in the community. We will work closely with our partners to develop programs that will support youths in our community through sports.

Year Round
Most sports have a season, and many of our area’s major events take place over a certain time period. Partnership opportunities with the Miami-Dade Sports Commission are not bound by a set period of time or limited by a season. We will host events year round. From community oriented events and programs held throughout the year to major events hosted in all seasons, the MDSC offers partnership exposure all year long.

Flexibility and Creativity
Partnership opportunities with the Miami-Dade Sports Commission are not limited to a certain number of signs, media buys, on-site sampling opportunities or other standard entitlements. We provide an opportunity for our partners to engage the community at the grass-roots level, and will work closely with all potential partners to develop an experience that is rewarding for the partner, the Sports Commission and the community we serve.
